PIETRA LIGURE: PUSHED TO THE LIMIT

Pietra Ligure made its debut in the EWS circuit, the second to last race of the 2020 season, where hostile and demanding terrain greeted the Orbea FOX Enduro Team.

No challenge is too great for our riders or staff. The second to last race of the 2020 Enduro World Series was held in Pietra Ligure, a place synonymous with difficult terrain – and perfect for the Orbea FOX Enduro Team.

Five stages pushed riders to the limit, full of ambushes and rugged encounters like few other stops on the circuit. In short, it was a wild Mediterranean dream.

The race was held in humid conditions, which added to Pietra Ligure’s already technical course layout.

Uninhibited terrain emphasized the importance of bike settings. Sure, the right settings can make a good ride better, but fine-tuning the FOX forks, shocks, wheels and tires would make or break this entire race. Showing no mercy, Pietra Ligure quickly became a litmus test for our new Rallon and our riders.

In addition to the classic Enduro category, Edgar Carballo joined the groundbreaking new EWS-E category on his Wild FS.

Up next, riders will descend upon Finale Ligure, where the final race of the abridged season will take place. In the meantime, enjoy our latest video. ¡Buon appetito!
