Reasons to Ride
As the year comes to an end, we want to take a moment to appreciate the road we have traveled, full of ups and downs, challenges and moments of uncertainty, but above all, full of successes, victories and lessons learned.
The year couldn’t start off in a bigger way than with the beginning of our historic union with Lotto Dstny, a partnership based on heritage, shared values and ambitious goals, sure to bring in a new era for Orbea road cycling.
Our continuous search for excellence never stopped driving innovation, as we launched key platforms such as Oiz, Wild and the update of one of our most popular bikes ever, Rise.
We raised our new banner high to announce our big foray into the Urban & Active world. The arrivals of Diem and the Kemen family were anything but unnoticed as they were swiftly followed by important prizes like Cyclingworld show, Red Dot design, and iF design.
Orbea team members packed their bags and filled the trucks to head to Frankfurt, showing off new innovations, learning from other industry leaders and, why not, picking up another accolade, the Eurobike Gold Award.
As always, the Orbea general assembly was held; an annual event and an opportunity for each partner to reflect on the previous year, make their voice heard and use their vote for the benefit of the future of the cooperative.
2024 also afforded opportunities to participate in some of the biggest sports events in the world, with outstanding results. We saw Orbea athletes climb to the stop of stage podiums at both the Tour de France and the Tour de France Femmes. We were able to watch as Dani Molina fulfilled his golden dream, achieving Olympic gold in Paris.
We wrap up the year as we say a heartfelt goodbye to the Orbea Enduro Team after a long and happy relationship, with no less hope or excitement for the big things that are coming next.
Now it’s time to say goodbye to 2024 and thanks to all of those riders who joined us this year. We’ll see you next year on the road, out on the trails and in the streets in 2025.
