New goals and new Orbea bikes for Lotto

Like neighbors in the same hood, Orbea and Lotto lived our lives unaware of the existence of a kindred spirit. We knew each other, greeted one another, and crossed paths without truly seeing each other. Until just a year ago, after over 180 years of history at Orbea and nearly 40 years of Lotto’s existence as a team, we finally connected. From our first conversation, we knew we had always been looking in the same direction: two groups deeply rooted in their territories. In Euskadi and Belgium people live cycling like nowhere else in the world. Two families with a profound social commitment, aware that we have the future of our sport in our hands.

Recognizing the magic of this inevitable meeting, it was only natural that victories soon followed. Before January ended, Lennert Van Eetvelt raised the Trofeo Sierra Tramuntana. Then came the UAE Tour, Van Gils’ podium at Strade Bianche, countless victories by Thalita de Jong, the Giro Next Gen, and the Belgian championship title for De Lie, among many others.

Now, as a new year begins, social media bursts into millions of colors, unveiling the latest from every team. At Lotto and Orbea, we’re starting our second year together, a year that will solidify a cutting-edge, innovative project that helps both of us grow.

The team was officially presented on January 3rd at Lotto’s Service Course, with new goals and hopes set on the Grand Tours and Classics, on being pivotal in the growth of professional women’s cycling and on supporting young talents who guarantee the team’s future.

The partnership between Orbea and the Belgians will be crucial to achieving these goals, just as it marked a turning point last season. That’s why the unveiling of the new bikes was one of the most celebrated moments of the presentation.

The red of the veteran Belgian sponsor paints the much-anticipated designs of the Orca and Orca Aero, which Lotto will race this season. These bikes already proved their excellence during the first year of competition together.

Our OQUO wheels—RP45 and RP57—complete the perfect setup.

The lightweight and stiffness of the Orca for the most demanding mountains and the aerodynamics of the Orca Aero for fast stages and sprints are now also available to fans in exact replicas of the team’s models. New for 2025, we’ve expanded the replica edition to include the M20i LTD models in both Orca and Orca Aero, bringing high-performance equipment even closer to the public.
