Orbea Fox Factory Team Launch Ambitious New Project

As the sun rises on a New Year, we take stock of all we have achieved as a team so far and reflect on how we can keep on building. With ambitious goals for the year ahead and continued success at the forefront of our minds, the Orbea Fox Factory Team will approach the season with a multitude of updates, signaling a new era. This new era will be defined by a focus on core values of effort, perseverance and passion for cycling, with a dedication to bringing elite competition closer to fans worldwide and inspiring a new generation.

The team is now closer to home than ever, with direct management from our HQ in Mallabia. Our tailor-made Service Course facility was developed for the peak of team management, product development and bike maintenance at the hands of our own professionals.

We are fortunate to incorporate Fran Perez into the structure. His performance and nutrition expertise demonstrated through a lifetime of experience both on and off the bike in elite sport will take our team to the next level.

As manufacturers, we will be able to take advantage of the new proximity of the team and the factory. The team counts on specific professional profiles to act as the link between the team and Orbea’s Product Development Department with a full team of mechanics just for the team, led by Pablo Rodriguez. In the field, the team will have the adept hands of Galder Hernandez and Andoni Mayo ready to support their needs in real time.

With a communication team of specialists in media management, social media, and content creation bolstered by Sergio Lopez, Sandro Szukat and Izaro Garmendia, there will be more inside access to races and the team than ever, bringing the project and the audience even closer.

This year, the team will continue its successful collaborations with Shimano, Fizik, Oquo, Maxxis, Hiru, X-Sauce, and 226ers. Additionally, we are excited to welcome Enduro Bearings to the family.

Orbea Fox Factory Team also now boasts a World Champion in Simon Andreassen who took the XCM title in America last year. The Dane joins the team as the current European XCO Champion and multiple former World Champion.

Belgian XCO Champion Pierre de Froidmont remains as the linchpin of the team, bringing with him a wealth of experience at the highest level. 2025 will be Pierre’s third year with the team and we’re excited to see him repeat his top 5 form at this year’s UCI XCO World Cup.

Rebecca Henderson brings World Cup winning prowess to the team and a decade of top flight racing to the table. The current Australian XCO Champion has represented her country at the Olympics on multiple occasions and brings medal-winning form into 2025.

Canadian XCO Champion Jennifer Jackson will be hot on Rebecca’s heels all year as former rivals become team mates. Capable of top ten finishes at World Cups, we can’t wait to see what Jennifer can achieve this year.

Orbea ambassador Ibon Zugasti will be helping fans keep current with the team by creating content to make the riding community part of the team’s journey. With his exclusive access to inside spaces and the most important races of the season, he will continue to share with us his unique perspective and inspire audiences around the world. Keep your eyes peeled for his content and his own challenges and adventures outside of the races.

Orbea Fox Factory Team will race both our Alma and Oiz, ensuring that both bikes become household names for their exploits in between the tape at World Cups. The combination of our championship-winning bikes and proven talent marks a new era of performance, innovation, and ambition for the team.
