The Gravel That Takes You Further
Gravel riding pushes the limits of adventure, rapidly gaining followers—whether in the setting of an ultra-endurance competition or as a new way to travel and explore. It’s not just about racing but about discovering a way of life, an opportunity to connect with nature, a pursuit of solitude, or the joy of sharing the experience with a like-minded community. It’s a journey of both inner and outer discovery, filled with challenges spread across the globe. You can live your adventure close to home or on the other side of the world. Everything is possible.
Great Adventures Are Not Improvised
Great adventures don’t happen by chance—they require the best preparation and the right tools. Whether you’re competing in long-distance races or simply aiming to ride as far as possible, you need products that rise to the challenge—bicycles that are the result of extensive innovation and development.
DirtyDropbars Collective: Adventurers and Competitors
DirtyDropbars Collective is Orbea’s mixed team of dedicated adventurers and unique competitors, set to take on the most iconic Gravel races, from La Traka to Badlands, Basajaun, Unbound 200, and Transibérica. They also bring expertise and fresh ideas. They are the creators of the Flandes Divide, a 222-kilometer gravel route stretching from Genk in the east to Oostende on the coast. The route traverses Belgium’s historic mining regions, winding through the gravel paths of Limburg and the rolling hills of Hageland.
Their philosophy is as simple as it is inspiring:
"Through cycling, we strive to create happiness, foster growth, and share unique experiences—all while helping riders achieve their dreams. We are more than cyclists; we are a movement dedicated to living fully and doing what we love."
The Demands of Ultra-Endurance Gravel Racing
Ultra-endurance Gravel races demand versatility, reliability, and all the comfort needed to endure countless hours in the saddle. Smooth trails give way to true terrain traps, where traction and control are crucial to keep moving forward without losing time or wasting energy. You will only reach the end of the adventure if your bike stays with you every step of the way.
The Full Orbea Experience
By no means does the team limit themselves to gravel tracks. They also count on Orca to support them in ultracycling endeavors like the Mallorca 312 gran fondo and the Transpyrenees epic non-stop road race.
Oiz is the team’s companion of choice for rougher races like the Highland Trail 550 in the Scottish Highlands and other adventure bikepacking and tours.
