De Lie’s Renewi Tour. The Victory of Perseverance

The season had not been an easy one for Arnaud de Lie. After a brilliant 2024 that placed his name among the most promising riders in the peloton, the new year seemed to begin all uphill. At the Tour de France, cycling’s grand stage, Arnaud did not draw the spotlight, yet he was always there, visible to anyone willing to look closely; performing with the dignity of a rider who never hides. Stage after stage, he left everything on the course, suffered, fought for sprints and went on. In that struggle, the Belgian found something we would never see in the headlines: the strength he needed to face the second half of the season.

At the Renewi Tour, all that accumulated effort finally found meaning. In Leuven, De Lie once again proved to be the rider who never gives in, clinging to the wheel of his teammates whose work was critical. Every Lotto rider gave everything to control breakaways, protect the leader in the decisive moments and launch him at exactly the right time. Only through that collective effort was victory possible.

“This win is one for the team as well. It’s hard when you keep finishing second. The team always works extremely hard, so it feels very good to finally give the right recognition to everyone.”

Alongside that human strength stood a machine built to win: Orca Aero equipped with the new OQUO RA57 LTD wheels carried De Lie into the decisive sprint and, as a small yet beautiful detail, also claimed the KOM on the Kapelmuur. This was the very first World Tour victory for Orca Aero and OQUO, and it is hard to imagine a more thrilling script for such a debut.

The win at the Renewi Tour symbolizes more than a result: it is proof that even after the hardest moments, the right combination of talent, teamwork and equipment can take a rider back to the top. For Arnaud de Lie, it is a turning point. For Lotto, a reminder that there is strength in numbers. And for Orbea and OQUO, a demonstration that passion for innovation becomes victory with the right synergies.

Sometimes glory is your second name, but often success is born of failure, determination and trust in team work. Arnaud de Lie’s victory at the Renewi Tour comes to confirm that bad days are not an obstacle, but a bridge to the greatest moments.
