Master of fun

Just like our popular adult-sized Laufey, this fun-loving machine is perfect for riders of all ages. Laufey is a tough, scaled-down trail bike that relishes new terrain. It’s for first-timers and expert mini-shredders. Laufey is a master of fun with multiple wheel sizes, burlier tires and suspension forks that look and function just like yours.

LAUFEY IF FOR PARENTS WHO PRIORITIZE OFF-ROAD CAPABILITY AND FUN IN THE DIRT. THEY ARE LOOKING FOR A PROPER FIT AND WIGHT ALONG WITH GREAT TRACTION AND SUSPENSION FOR THEIR YOUNG RIDERS.

MATERIALS

ALUMINIUM
FRAMES

All Laufey models are constructed from aluminum.

We manipulate the shapes and wall-thickness of our aluminum tubing to increase strength and resistance to unwanted flex. Many of the tubes are butted to save weight in the middle of the tubes, away from the stress of the joints and the weld zones.

FEATURES

AIR FORKS

Most of the Laufey Junior 20″, 24″ and 27″ models are fitted with air forks, with travel ranging from 80mm to 120mm depending on wheel size. Air forks ar lighter, making it easier to younger riders to handle the bike. Additionally air forks work with a wider range of rider weights, meaning as junior grows the forks can easily be adjusted to suit.

CRANKS AND CHAINRING

The cranks and chainring are made of aluminum to reduce weight as much as possible. They’ve also been designed specifically for Laufey Junior. We match crank lengths and chainring diameters to wheel size, an important detail which means you get optimum gearing and ground clearance no matter your size.

TIRES

Laufey Junior is designed to ride mountains, so wider tires and more aggressive tread is standard on all models. Selected Laufey junior also comes ready for tubeless and your can ask your dealer to set the bike up tubeless for you. Tubeless tyres have revolutionised mountain biking, meaning that punctures are infrequent and giving more choice over the tyre pressures you can run to maximise grip and control.

TELESCOPIC SEATPOST

Most Laufey Junior models feature telescopic seatposts with sizes available to match the rider. Telescopic seatposts allow riders to drop the saddle remotely and enjoy more security on descents, before rising to optimum saddle height for the climbs at the touch of a button. It gives aspiring young riders extra confidence and safety.

On models which don’t have a telescopic seatpost we fit our Digit dropper. This clever design always stays aligned when adjusted or during an occasional spill and is protected against accidental removal. A longer seatclamp makes it easier for small hands to adjust and the rubber covering protects in case of accidents.

MUDGUARD

We designed a hard-working fender that’s fun, fun to look at and functional. Securely held in place so that it is always positioned to keep dirt and stones out of the riders face and eyes, keeping them safe and ensuring they can see the trail ahead. The details are important.
