Learning to Connect
In a sector where technology moves as fast as our bicycles, training is an essential element for offering service that meets the expectations of any rider. The in-store experience, those first conversations, that expert recommendation, that precise adjustment is just as decisive as the quality of the product itself. That’s why brands that want to stay close to their community need strong collaboration models with their distribution network, built on shared knowledge.
However, training an entire network is an obvious challenge. How can we ensure that every distributor, no matter where they are, has access to the same level of relevant technical information so they can properly advise their customers? How can we reinforce their commitment and motivation with tools that help them not only learn, but also grow within the Orbea ecosystem?
This need also becomes an opportunity: to create a learning space that connects the global professional community and shows that at Orbea, we choose to pedal alongside our distribution channel.
The value of learning as a team
To address this challenge, we have spent years developing a global digital training program through Myagi, our online training content platform. There we bring together up-to-date knowledge about our products, processes, technologies, and values. It’s a tool that democratizes access to information and empowers those who represent Orbea in every region of the world.
As part of this plan, we promote incentive programs that celebrate shops’ commitment to continuous training. The latest example is the recognition of one of the most active dealers, Mondovélo, part of the cooperative Entrepreneurs Commerçants. They received the main prize: a fully customized MyOrbea bicycle, as well as a unique experience at our home.
During their visit to the Mallabia factory, the Mondovélo team was able to tour our facilities, see firsthand how each bike is built, and enjoy a group ride. It was a trip to strengthen bonds, exchange knowledge, and demonstrate once again that the relationship between Orbea and its distributors is close, honest, and mutual. A model that undoubtedly sets us apart in the market.
The bicycle as a symbol of collaboration
The customized Orca awarded to the winner is not just a prize: it represents the bond we aim to strengthen with every shop. It’s a reminder that customization, technology, and design take on deeper meaning when they grow out of a solid relationship between the brand and its distributors.
