A Farewell In A Big Way

Much like exploring new trails and paths on a bike, embarking on a new adventure comes with the certainty of a beginning and an end. With its highs and lows, there is nothing more exciting than embracing the journey, sharing the experience, learning from every moment and reaching the final destination after squeezing out every moment along the way.

After more than a decade, it’s time to close the chapter on a team with which we have grown and evolved: the Orbea Enduro Team. the Orbea Enduro Team. Since 2018, the path we’ve traveled has been full of lessons and experiences that have witnessed the evolution of both the sport and the team.

We were there when enduro was introduced in Europe, followed its evolution and adapted to every twist and turn along the way. We’ve seen the transformation of racing from epic challenges to pure spectacle. Damien Oton’s arrival changed the course of OET, shifting our focus from simply being another team to fighting for the podium. Three years ago, we began reaching the podiums with Martin Maes, with his most notable victory in Loudenvielle. Since 2022, we’ve celebrated Flo Espiñeira’s impeccable journey to winning the E-EDR title for three consecutive years.

Each rider who has passed through the team has been closely involved in product development at both Orbea and OQUO. A clear example of this has been Markel Uriarte, who went from being a rider at OET to Product Manager at Orbea. Thanks to crashes, mistakes, triumphs and victories, we have developed and improved our bikes to deliver performance- and adventure-driven design at its finest. There’s no doubt that many of our future projects will have the enduro team’s DNA in their veins.

The passion that drives us to keep pedaling fuels our deep understanding of the demanding ethical, product and experiential standards of our community, which inspires us to be the best version of ourselves every day. That same passion has been the driving force of the team throughout these years, pushing us to give our all in every effort and achieve our goals.

We cannot foresee the paths that lie ahead, but our adventurous spirit will guide us through the toughest challenges, leading us to our final destination: the relentless pursuit of excellence.
