Medals, emotion and legacy: Orbea at the MTB World Championships

From September 1 to 14, the Swiss Valais became the epicenter of mountain biking. The MTB World Championships gathered the international elite in two intense weeks where every descent, every sprint and every corner made the difference. And there we were, present in multiple categories and showing, once again, that our bikes are ready for the highest level of competition.

Representation across all disciplines

Our presence extended throughout the entire World Championship program. From the most technical downhills to the endless Cross Country marathons, through the explosive intensity of Short Track and the strategic demands of Olympic Cross Country, our bikes were always at the forefront.

E-MTB also played a leading role: where electric power meets pure technique, the Wild once again left its mark. Each discipline presented a different challenge, and Orbea athletes proved they are ready to compete with the best in the world.

Oiz, the queen of the championship

Designed for the toughest Cross Country challenges, it once again showed why it is one of the most complete and reliable bikes on the international scene.

Its lightness, efficiency and competition-oriented geometry were key in supporting our athletes during brilliant moments, such as Samuele Porro’s silver in XCM and Jenn Jackson’s bronze in Short Track XCC.

Special mention also goes to Simon Andreassen’s fourth place in XCC Men Elite, a result of even greater value after a season marked by a concussion that prevented him from performing at his best, but which he is now leaving behind with solid performances like the one in Valais.

Built to Fly

Orbea Oiz is the machine that transforms passion into victories: pure speed, precision, and excitement in every line.

Wild and the power of E-MTB

The championship was also the perfect stage for Wild to assert its competitive character. Unbeatable in the E-MTB terrain, Wild showed how technological innovation can transform performance and take athletes to the next level.

On it, Flo Espiñeira claimed silver in E-MTB Enduro, while Damien Otton stepped onto the podium with a bronze. Two results that reflect the power, control and confidence this platform delivers, even in the most demanding terrains.

THE YES MACHINE

Orbea Wild is freedom without limits: power, control, and fun to conquer every mountain.

Rallon, beyond the results

Downhill once again highlighted the demanding and thrilling nature of the discipline. The results were not as expected, but every run drives us to keep working and to look ahead with greater ambition.

Rallon accompanied our riders in very special versions: thanks to MyOrbea Custom, each bike combined the colors of the national team with the rider’s kit, showcasing the potential of customization and how each bike can reflect the identity of its rider.

GRAVITY BRED

Orbea Rallon DH is the culmination of development alongside the best riders: built to compete and ready to win in the World Cup.

Unique bikes for unique challenges

Customization also shone. Thanks to MyOrbea Custom, each athlete competed on a unique bike, adapted to their style and the demands of the discipline.

Whether it was Oiz flying across the Cross Country circuits, Wild tackling the challenges of E-MTB, or Rallon defying the most technical downhill lines, they all shared the same spirit: turning each bike into an extension of the rider who rides it.

A legacy that keeps growing

The World Championships in Valais were not just a showcase of results, but a confirmation of what drives us: the passion for cycling and the constant pursuit of pushing limits.

Every medal and every finish-line smile strengthens our commitment to MTB. And every result that slipped away motivates us to keep working to become better.

Switzerland leaves us with one certainty: we keep pedaling in the right direction, with the best bikes and a global community that shares the same passion.
