Orbea FMD Racing at the Sharp End in France.

The UCI Downhill World Cup is where the best pit themselves against the clock and the competition, 2025 would be no different. Partnership, progress, and purpose from all parties saw our riders at the pointy end of the pack in finals.

Tahnee continued her incredible start to the season in 3rd place. This was despite despite a crash in morning practice leaving her battered and bruised. Our downhill superstar retains her hold on the leader’s jersey and will be confident in her speed going into Leogang.

Oli would back up his stellar Q1 run with another hot lap down the dusty mountain side to finish inside the top 10, safely putting Poland behind him and focusing on what he could change. 9th place in the World baby! Let’s ride that wave to Austria Oli!

Phoebe once again proved she has the pace to compete with the best, winning Q2 followed by a storming 6th place finals finish just four seconds behind Tahnee. We cannot wait to see what Phoebe can do this year.

Martin had a tough weekend with issues in Q1 meaning he would have to go again. With the pace so high and times so tight it wouldn’t be a repeat of his top 10 in Poland. He’ll return unphased to Leogang to go again.

Thanks to the dedication of the staff and their values, as well as the Rallon proving to be World class fast, Orbea FMD Racing – The Gravity Cooperative currently stand in fourth in the team rankings.

Loudenvielle also saw the unveiling of the new team kit, the perfect expression of the riders and their personalities. Their Rallon downhill bikes, launched at a paddock part after qualifying with fans and riders alike invited, received custom paint applied by hand and with plenty of love at our HQ.

The launch party is an integral part of our mission as The Gravity Cooperative. We are nothing without our fans. For 2025 and beyond, we want them to feel part of our journey. Welcoming our fans in Loudenvielle is a unique opportunity to see our new paddock, the new team kit and bikes, plus meet the people that make it all happen.

Orbea and FMD Racing started a new era together in 2025 and have been working hard in the off-season to be as competitive as possible for the start of the new downhill World Cup season.

2025 will also see Orbea breaking new ground with their first foray into the World of downhill. We have taken everything we know from years of designing winning bikes and put it into this bike. Our engineers have put their heart and soul into this new project.

Behind the scenes, we have been working closely with FMD Racing and the team partners like Fox to ensure that the riders feel at one with their bikes. This, in turn, will produce the winning formula.

Going Downhill Fast

The Orbea Rallon DH was designed for control and stability at World Cup level, and proved its worth in Poland by guiding Tahnée Seagrave to gold.

We would like to thank the tireless work of the team staff and our partners who have put so much time and effort into allowing the riders to focus on what they do best.

From everyone at Orbea, congratulations to Orbea FMD Racing for another great World Cup. Leogang next.
