STORIES OF RESILIENCE AMONG THE ORBEA FACTORY TEAM

Every season, the Orbea Factory Team riders not only confront their rivals and challenging terrain, but also their own internal battles. As they progress through the competitive calendar, they strive for national championship victories, aiming to earn their country’s jersey and wear it with pride all season, and their journey continues toward the ultimate goal of any elite athlete: competing against the world’s best athletes in the City of Light. The season culminates in one of the year’s most prestigious events, where the victors are awarded the coveted rainbow jersey at the World Championships. Their stories of resilience, improvement and personal growth are intertwined with the excitement of racing.

This season, our journey began at the national championships, where David Campos seized an opportunity to rediscover himself. After a difficult start to the season, marked by persistent allergies and the need to reconnect with himself, David approached the national championship with renewed determination. This event allowed him to recover his physical form and his internal balance, achieving a victory that was both a personal and athletic triumph.

Pierre de Froidmont also shone in his national championship in Belgium. After years of experience and commitment, Pierre arrived at this event impeccably prepared. Reclaiming his title not only reaffirmed his status as an elite rider, but gave him the necessary boost to face his next major challenge: the big event in the City of Light..

The ultimate event for every athlete was a highlight in the Orbea Factory Team’s season. For Pierre, this momentous occasion was confirmation that his hard work and perseverance had prepared him for the biggest stages. His performance reflected his passion for the sport and his ability to maintain an exceptional level of competition in each event.

Chiara also demonstrated her excellence in the City of Light, where she had the opportunity to show the world the fruits of her discipline and perseverance. Her participation was no fluke—it was the result of years of hard work and unwavering passion. Surrounded by the support of her team, Chiara not only competed, but established herself as a force to be reckoned with on the international stage, proudly carrying Orbea’s message.

Meanwhile, Orbea reaffirmed its commitment to the team and its Olympic legacy by developing Oiz bikes with exclusive designs, allowing two of its riders to compete with unique bikes. This gesture symbolized Orbea’s dedication to excellence and the importance of this celebration of sport in its history.

As the season draws to a close, the focus shifts to the World Championships, an event held close to home in Andorra. For Luca, this World Cup holds a special significance as it marks his farewell to the U23 category. With an outstanding season behind him and the constant support of the most experienced team members, Luca is determined to close this chapter with a memorable performance, reflecting on all his athletic accomplishments and personal growth over the years.

Anne, for her part, faces this annual event with a new perspective. After a season cut short by injury, Anne has turned adversity into opportunity. Her return to competition, backed by intense summer preparation, represents her resilience and willpower needed to start anew and demonstrate her greatness on the world stage.

Orbea, of course, will spare no effort in these World Championships. Although the racers compete under their respective national federations, the brand will be present with strong support in Andorra, ensuring that each rider feels the backing and passion that defines the Orbea Factory Team.

This unwavering commitment to the riders and the team underscores Orbea’s status as a benchmark in the world of mountain biking, always present in the most important moments of the season.
