Welcome to the Future of Control with the New RS Control System

Some challenges are worth taking on, not because they are easy, but because they are hard and push us to go further than what we initially thought possible. Our new RS Control System is one of those challenges. It’s the result of years of work and of refusing to take the easy path in order to create something which matched our RS philosophy.

What is RS?

RS is all about improving performance and the riding experience by developing next-level solutions to create seamless connections between rider and bike. This started with Rise, a bike which put the rider at the center of the experience and set the standard for how naturally eMTBs could ride. Since then, we have developed our in-house capabilities to allow us to fully develop in-house electronics, enabling us to create and integrate our own components. This breakthrough marks a significant milestone in our RS journey.

The New RS Control System

The new RS control system combines e-bike controls, ride information, and smart dropper functionality into a single ecosystem, linked by our communication system and controlled by a compact, and intuitive remote. The whole system has been developed in-house. This innovation offers riders a completely new level of control and a seamless interaction with their bike.

What sets the new RS control system apart is its unique operation through an in-house developed wired CAN bus communication network, ensuring maximum reliability and performance as well as being powered entirely by the bike’s main battery. This creates a fully interconnected ecosystem that simplifies the rider’s experience while also offering entirely new functionality.

The RS Control System comprises the RS HMI controller, and a brand new dropper the MC10 RS.

Let’s take a look at each component and what they offer.

New Interface: RS HMI. Seamless Ergonomics and Smart Functionality

The new handlebar remote integrates motor control, dropper control, and ride information into a single, ergonomic unit. As well as improving on the expected features we have added some new “Smart” features which bring totally new functions.

Motor Control Features

As soon as you touch it, you feel the difference. Larger, textured buttons offer clear tactile feedback, even with gloves on, ensuring every input is precise and instinctive.

Motor Assistance

The front LED clearly shows the assistance level, including when walk mode is activated.

New Full Charge Indicator

Always be sure that you are 100% charged when you leave the house.

Profile Change

Switch ride profiles instantly with a single press, allowing changes from RS to RS+ in seconds.

Super Boost

Unlock maximum assistance for a predefined burst of power when you need it most. Ideal for short sharp climbs.

Display & Dropper Features

All integreated into the same unit, the dropper lever is replacable and adjustable for perfect positioning, while the easy-to-read LED display gives you all the information you need at a glance.

RS HMI Battery Display

The minimalist 5-LED display keeps you focused on the ride, showing battery status in 10% increments.

RS HMI Dropper Control

The electronic lever feels just like a traditional mechanical dropper, but smoother. Thanks to the clever sensors in our dropper post we are also able to add new SMART features.

New Smart Dropper: MC10 RS. Dropper Post: Lightweight Precision

When we developed the new MC10 RS Dropper Post we started by creating the best traditional dropper that we could. That meant low weight, smooth and fast action, low stack and great reliability. Then we added next-level electronics which enabled us to add smart features such as the partial drop and read-to-drop mode.

Lightweight, Fast and Smooth

At just 548 grams for 240 mm of travel, the MC10 RS sets a new weight-to-travel benchmark, delivering smoother, faster performance for long-travel droppers.

Travel Adjust / Low Stack

Available in three drop options, from 180 to 240 mm. Travel can be reduced by up to 25 mm in 5 mm increments with no tools needed. Combined with one of the lowest stack heights, this lets you maximise travel on any frame size.

Advanced sensors with plug-and-play connection

Added sensors enable next-generation capabilities, while CAN bus cables power the post with plug-and-play simplicity for easy maintenance.

“Smart” Dropper Features

The electronic remote operates just like a traditional remote, you push it and can set the post to any height you want. Using a Time of Flight sensor opens up new functions, what we are calling our smart features.

Partial Drop: With a double click

Drops the saddle by 20%, lowering your center of gravity for better control on steep, technical sections. The ammount of drop is fully programmable via the RS-App.

Ready-To-Drop: Press once and drop when you are ready

Ready-To-Drop mode lets you prime the post ahead of technical sections for split-second action. The lever is fully removable and replaceable for easy customization.

Classic Mode: Long push to block smart features

Classic Mode blocks the smart features, letting you use our Smart dropper in exactly the same way as a traditional dropper.

One Battery, Total Control

By drawing power from a single source, the bike’s main battery, the RS Control System unites every component into one ecosystem. It simplifies charging, reduces weight, and increases reliability, letting riders focus on what matters most: the ride.

Connectivity and Customization

Compatible with the new RS App and existing RS Toolbox, the system offers deeper personalization, firmware updates, and real-time ride data via Garmin devices, without cluttering the cockpit.

Rise is now availble with the new RS Control System

Selected Rise models will debut this system, marking another milestone in our RS journey. This is more than new components, it’s a step toward a future where technology disappears and connection takes over.

Rise Beyond. The Best Just Got Better

Your best ride. That perfect trail. You feel connected to the dirt, pushing hard and in perfect control. You live more brightly in these moments. Now, that experience just got better.

Because progress doesn’t come from doing what’s easy, it comes from drawing the line and daring to follow it.
